Originating from the vibrant city of Gaborone, Botswana, I am Moemedi, but I prefer to go by Wazzza. While I've always had a strong background in software engineering, I'm currently on a deliberate and exciting path, transitioning into the field of data analytics with a keen eye on roles that intersect technology and data such as Business Analyst or Data Engineering.

I recently attained a Master of Science in Business Analytics at Simon Business School, University of Rochester. This academic pursuit has enabled me to explore the dynamic world of data analytics, providing me with in-depth knowledge of Analytic Design, Python, SQL, Tableau, and more. I also understand the pivotal role of KPIs in assessing performance and have used them effectively to drive consumer-first strategies. I have experience in agile project management and hold leadership roles as a Vice President in the Simon Uncorked Wine Club and the Simon African Business Club has equipped me with valuable insights into promoting diversity and effective communication in multicultural environments.

One aspect that fuels my passion for data analytics and technology is my projects. A notable project In 2020, I developed Music Image Artificial Intelligence (MIAI), a Java and Python-based utilizing ImageAI Object Detection and JSyn Audio Synthesis libraries to make music from images. I had to train custom AI models to enhance the abilities of the application which was an adventurous and data-intensive process. I also embedded a photo uploader into the application allowing users to take photos from their cellphones and have them analyzed by the application on the computer. This project as well as working at my tech startup, Table Mate, solidified my interest in data analytics, showcasing my ability to bridge the worlds of technology and data.

I actively contribute to the Data Analytics Club at Simon Business School where I've engaged in a wide range of data-driven projects, sharpening my analytical abilities.

As someone with a strong software engineering background and an unrelenting passion for technology, entrepreneurship, and music, I'm now looking for roles that harness the power of data within the tech industry. Whether working independently or collaboratively, I am at ease in in-person and remote environments. This transition represents an exciting chapter in my career, one where I aim to leverage my unique blend of skills to drive impactful solutions and shape data-informed decisions in future tech-related roles. The journey is just beginning, and I can't wait to see where it leads.
